The fast-onset cousin of Botox — same molecule, different diffusion.
Dysport is botulinum toxin type A from Galderma, FDA-approved in the U.S. since 2009. It works the same way Botox does — by relaxing the targeted muscle — but with a slightly broader spread, faster onset, and a different unit conversion.
We tend to choose Dysport for forehead patients with strong frontalis muscles, and for patients who want to see softening sooner (visible at 2–3 days rather than 4–5).

Dysport contains a slightly smaller botulinum molecule and uses a different unit-to-effect ratio — typically 2.5–3 Dysport units equal 1 Botox unit. Because it diffuses more, it covers a wider area per injection, which is useful for broad muscles like the forehead.
We don't view Dysport as 'better' or 'worse' than Botox — we choose between them per face. A heavy-handed practitioner can make either look bad; a careful one can make either look invisible.
