Cheek filler is structural. Done well, it lifts the lower face, defines the cheekbone, and creates the high-light triangle that reads as youth. Done poorly, it creates the 'pillow face' that became the cautionary tale of 2010s aesthetic medicine.
We approach the cheek as a scaffold problem first and a contour problem second. Most patients need less product than they expect — typically 2–3 syringes total, placed deep on bone, not superficially in the soft tissue.

Cheek filler is HA gel placed on the bone or in deep fat compartments to rebuild the structural support that thins with age. We use higher-G-prime products (Voluma, RHA 4, Restylane Lyft) because lift requires firmness — softer fillers placed superficially are what create the puffy-cheek look.
We work in syringes-per-side, not 'a syringe in the cheek.' Symmetry is rare in nature, and asymmetric placement produces a more natural result than mirror-image volume.

Consultation, treatment day, and after.

Consultation
Photograph straight-on and three-quarter. Discuss target: lift vs. contour vs. restoration. Map injection points.

Treatment
45 minutes. Cannula technique for soft tissue, needle on bone. Most patients tolerate it well; we offer a dental block on request.

Recovery
Mild swelling 24–72 hours. Bruising possible at injection points. Avoid heavy exercise for 48 hours.

Results
Initial result visible immediately. Final settled result at 2 weeks.
Who's a candidate
Cheek Filler is right for you if:
